About David J. Watts, MD

Dr. Watts is a board-certified dermatologist fellowship-trained in Mohs surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for high-risk skin cancers and post-operative reconstruction. He strongly emphasizes prevention especially for children.

Dr. Watts was educated at the University of Nebraska in undergraduate and medical school. He trained in Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic and then pursued an additional two years of fellowship training in Mohs surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Watts has been in private practice since 1996 and founded Dermatology Surgery Center in 1999 which became to Dermatology Specialists of Omaha in 2009.

In April 2011 Dr. Watts received an appointment to the University of Nebraska Medical Center faculty as an Adjunct Assistant Professor.
